Agrovision She Farmers is a rural young women collective in Busoga region- Uganda fighting for the struggles of rural women farmers/peasants for their economic rights, access to natural resources and food sovereignty.
We came together to empower and strengthen fellow young women with the requisite voice to effectively claim our rights, combat gender based discrimination and identify new opportunities that empower us economically thus providing a platform to improve young women’s socio-economic welfare and promote women’s rights through a strengthened community participation, advocacy and service delivery.
Agrovision She Farmers vision is a future free from hunger and malnutrition, in which every person has the knowledge and means to participate in community development, increased civic potential and improved human’s rights.
In pursuit of our vision, Agrovision She Farmers’ mission is to contribute to the meaningful impact by helping rural women streamline their food production systems, improve their socio-economic status through community participation, advocacy, mentorship and service delivery.
We work with indigenous communities, one young women at a time, to improve socioeconomic status from the ground up. We believe in human dignity and the transformative power of strong community participation.
Since we address problems that affect millions of women, we prioritise and reprioritise relentlessly and only purse solutions that deliver great impact.
